Wicketkeeper-batsman Rishabh Pant has been handed over the captaincy of the Indian team just a day before the start of the 5-match T20 series against South Africa. Pant says he will carry out this responsibility with passion. KL Rahul has been ruled out owing to a right groin injury, while regular skipper Rohit Sharma has been rested from this series.
Rishabh Pant said on the eve of the first match, “It is a very good feeling, even though this responsibility did not come in good conditions. I got the news an hour ago, so I’m going through this feeling right now. ”
“I have not been able to digest this information yet,” said the Delhi cricketer. It’s a good feeling to have this opportunity, especially in my city. Pant has been leading the Delhi Capitals team in the Indian Premier League for the past two season.
