Before US President Joe Biden’s State of the Union Address began, US First Lady Jill Biden drew the attention of netizens when a video of her kissing Vice President Kamala Harris’ husband, Doug Emhoff, “on the lips” went viral.
Several Twitterati later shared the video widely. The video of US First Lady Jill Biden entering the hall has gone viral on the internet. As soon as she came next to Doug Emhoff, the two bent towards each other to greet and ended up giving a kiss on “the lips”. The two’s gesture could be the result of confusion. However, after the video went viral, social media was inundated with reactions to the viral State of the Union moment.
President Biden delivered his second State of the Union address on Tuesday night at the national Capitol, the first since losing the majority in the US House of Representatives.
Soon after, a video of the two kissing went viral on Twitter.

Biden is making his first significant speech before a divided Congress since Republicans took control of the House.
He persuaded Republican “friends” to work with him.
Despite disruptions from Covid-19 and Russian President Vladimir Putin’s invasion of Ukraine, Joe Biden said in his State of the Union address on Tuesday (local time) that the American economy is better positioned to grow “than any country on Earth.”

Biden began his remarks by congratulating newly elected House Speaker Kevin McCarthy, demonstrating early bipartisanship.
The president also recognised Hakeem Jeffries, the House’s first Black party leader and minority leader.
