Savitri Jindal, witnessed an unparalleled surge in her wealth in 2023, outpacing the country’s richest individuals such as Mukesh Ambani and Gautam Adani.

Savitri Devi Jindal born on 20 March 1940, in Tinsukia, Assam, is an Indian businesswoman and politician. She was the chairperson emerita of the O.P. Jindal Group. Savitri’s late husband, OP Jindal, who hailed from Haryana, founded the OP Jindal Group, a conglomerate. He was an industrialist and businessman.

She is also the president of Maharaja Agrasen Medical College, Agroha. Jindal family net worth is estimated to be $24.5 billion.

According to data from the Bloomberg Billionaires Index, the 73-year-old has seen her net worth skyrocket by a staggering $9.6 billion in the calendar year 2023.  In contrast, Mukesh Ambani, the chairman of Reliance Industries (RIL) and India’s richest individual, experienced a comparatively modest increase of around $5 billion in the same period. 

While Ambani remains the wealthiest individual in India with a total wealth of $92.3 billion, the noteworthy ascent of Savitri Jindal has garnered considerable interest, positioning her as the fifth-richest Indian with a net worth of $25.3 billion.

The conglomerate oversees publicly traded firms like JSW Steel, Jindal Steel & Power, JSW Energy, JSW Saw, Jindal Stainless, and JSW Holdings.

Following Savitri Jindal in net worth growth, Shiv Nadar of HCL secures the second position, experiencing an increase of approximately $8 billion in the past calendar year. Meanwhile, KP Singh of DLF added $7 billion to his net worth.

As per the October 2023 edition of the Forbes list of India’s 100 Richest, Savitri Jindal, the family matriarch, secured the fourth position with a net worth of $24 billion, marking a remarkable 46% increase.
