TMC MP Mahua Moitra parliament Controversy:
There were heated exchanges between Trinamool Congress (TMC) and BJP members shortly after Moitra finished her speech during the debate on the ‘Motion of Thanks to the President’s Address’ in Lok Sabha on Tuesday. Moitra was overheard using an offensive word, to which the Chair objected and urged members to refrain from using such words.

When asked about the incident, Moitra said, without naming anyone, “This is the gentleman who referred to farmers as pimps… Hardeep Singh Puri, the minister for urban development, used an extremely derogatory term to describe Dr. Santanu Sen in Rajya Sabha. This is not the first time in Parliament that expletives or harsh words have been recorded.”
Mahua Moitra, a Trinamool Congress MP, defended her use of a ‘cuss word’ in the Lok Sabha the day before, saying she will call an apple an apple and not an orange. “Whatever I said was not recorded, and all I can say is that an apple is an apple, not an orange. I’m going to call a spade a spade. If they drag me before the privileges committee, I’ll tell my side of the story “According to Mahua Moitra.
Mahua Moitra spoke in the Lok Sabha on Tuesday during the Motion of Thanks on the President’s Address. The BJP MPs repeatedly interrupted her speech on the Adani controversy. Following her speech, TDP MP K Ram Mohan Naidu took the floor. During Ram Mohan’s speech, Mahua Moitra was seen cursing BJP MP Ramesh Bidhuri.
