Doctors said on Thursday that the student, Daravath Preeti, was suffering from multiple organ failure and has brain problems.

Following her father’s complaint, Hanmakonda Police registered a suicide attempt case. Her father claims that a colleague named Saif, a PG medical second year student, harassed her while she was performing her duties at the Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Hospital (MGM).

She reportedly asked for permission to leave early on Wednesday, but Saif reportedly refused to even let her go for nature’s call.

According to reports, she gave herself a poisonous injection while on duty at the MGM at 6.30 a.m. After hospital staff noticed the student was unconscious, she was transferred to the emergency ward. She was transferred to NIMS hospital in Hyderabad after failing to respond to treatment at the hospital.
