The Gunotsav 2024 in Assam is a major educational event that will begin on January 3, 2024, and go until February 9, 2024 unlike the instruction’s end date on February 8. With the goal of improving elementary education throughout the state, this programme will take place in three phases.
With over 88,525 schools and 42,76,881 students from classes I through IX participating, the programme is anticipated to have a significant influence on a large number of schools and pupils.
Gunotsav 2024’s first phase, which will encompass 12 districts including Barpeta, Karimganj, Kamrup, Karbi Anglong, Kokrajhar, Lakhimpur, Nagaon, Sibsagar, South Salmara-Mankachar, and Udalguri, will start on January 4 and end on January 6.
For this phase, the external evaluation is set for January 4–6, with the self-evaluation scheduled for January 3.
Thirteen districts, including Baksa, Biswanath, Chirang, Charaideo, Dhemaji, Dhubri, Golaghat, Hailakandi, Jorhat, Kamrup (Metro), Sonitpur, Tinsukia, and Tamulpur, would be included in the second phase, which is scheduled to begin on January 10 and conclude on January 12. This phase’s self-assessment is scheduled for January 9; the external evaluation is scheduled for January 10–12.
The third phase, which includes districts like Bongaigaon, Darrang, Dibrugarh, Goalpara, Cachar, Nalbari, Morigaon, Dima Hasao, Majuli, and West Karbi Anglong, is scheduled to take place from February 6 to February 8. On February 5, the self-assessment will take place, and on February 6, 7, and 8, the external evaluation.
It is expected that the Gunotsav 2024 results would be revealed on April 15, 2024, at 11:00 AM.
