A shocking incident occurred on Wednesday when a group of attackers rushed into a home and attacked a father and daughter duo, killing the young girl in Guwahati.
According to the initial reports, the event happened yesterday afternoon in the Boragaon neighbourhood of Guwahati. The victims were allegedly attacked by the attackers after they broke into their home.
After the incident, the father, identified as Banjit Das, was discovered to be critically injured and was taken to the neighbouring Excel Care Hospital in Guwahati. Later on in the evening, he was taken to GMC Casualty department by the police authorities, and at approximately 10.10 pm, Banjit Das passed away.
According to reports, the mother wasn’t home when the incident happened. After being notified, Garchuk Police and other high-ranking officials arrived at the crime scene.
Superintendent Dr. Abhijit Sharma explained about the condition of the victim to the media. According to him, Banjit Das was hit in the back of his head, and he had injuries in his left hand. After a CT Scan, it was found that Banjit had injuries in his brain, he added. Banjit had a Cardiac arrest at around 9 to 9.30 pm. Doctors tried their best to save him, but they failed and he died at approximately 10.10 pm. Investigation is going on and it is very necessary to find the culprits behind this incident.
The main reason behind the father-daughter duo being assaulted is not known yet. Further details are awaited.
