Women’s Premier League: Rajni Basnet Kalita of Guwahati has been appointed as one of the match referees for the inaugural Women’s Premier League (WPL). The WPL games will take place in Mumbai. Kalita is from Guwahati’s Boragaon district.

WPL’s inaugural season tickets are now on sale, with women receiving free admission.
The league starts on March 4th (Saturday).

The first match will be played between Gujarat Giants and Mumbai Indians at Navi Mumbai’s DY Patil Stadium. The event, which will feature 22 matches this season, is free for women and girls. Tickets for men and boys cost an average of $100 and $400, according to the BookMyShow app.

The inaugural Women’s Premier League (WPL) cricket tournament in India has already generated hundreds of millions of dollars, with experts hailing it as a game-changing moment for women’s sport. The five-team Women’s Premier League kicks off on March 4 at Mumbai’s DY Patil Stadium and runs until March 26, with top players from around the world expected to compete. In its inaugural season, the Women’s Premier League will host 20 league matches and two playoff games over the course of 23 days.
