Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival Awards: Monday night’s Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival Awards in Mumbai were preceded by a grand red carpet event. Alia Bhatt and veteran actor Rekha provided us with a memorable red carpet moment. The actresses posed in ivory sarees together. The actresses greeted each other on the red carpet, creating some photo opportunities. At the film festival, Alia Bhatt was named Best Actress. She also accepted the trophy on behalf of her husband, Ranbir Kapoor, who was absent from the event. He was named Best Actor for his work in Brahmastra.
On Monday, the Dadasaheb Phalke International Film Festival awards were announced, with The Kashmir Files winning Best Film and Anupam Kher winning Most Versatile Actor Of The Year for the film. Alia Bhatt accepted not only her Best Actress award for Gangubai Kathiawadi, but also her husband Ranbir Kapoor’s Best Actor award for Brahmastra.

Rishab Shetty, an actor-filmmaker, received the Most Promising Actor award for his Kannada film Kantara. Varun Dhawan also received the Critics’ Choice Award for Best Actor for his performance in Bhediya. Anupamaa, starring Rupali Ganguly, took home the Television Series of the Year award at the festival.

Veteran actor Rekha was honoured with an award for her ‘Outstanding Contribution In The Film Industry’. She wore a golden saree to the event and was seen bonding with Alia, who wore a white saree. The two exchanged hugs and kisses before posing for photos with the paparazzi. Meanwhile, Hariharan won an award for ‘Outstanding Contribution In The Music Industry’.
