Chup Movie: Dulquer Salmaan recently received a Dadasaheb Phalke award, which was also his first award for a Hindi film. He received the prestigious award for Best Actor in a Negative Role for his performance as Danny in the critically acclaimed 2022 crime thriller Chup: Revenge of the Artist. On Tuesday, the actor shared a photo of his award with a brief note about how he went blank for a brief moment while accepting the award onstage. The note also included a long list of ‘Thank you’s’ for the film’s director and crew members who worked tirelessly to make Chup a huge success.
He expressed gratitude to the award ceremony’s jury for recognising his work, saying, “This one felt special! This is my first award for Hindi. My first ever nomination for Best Actor in a Negative Role. Many thanks to the Dadasaheb Phalke jury for this honour, and to Abhishek Mishra for being such a gracious host.” “For some reason, my old friend, my nerves got the better of me on stage and I blanked out like a first-timer,” the actor explained.
