Russia-Ukraine War: On Tuesday, Russian President Vladimir Putin vowed to continue Russia’s year-long war in Ukraine, accusing the US-led NATO alliance of fanning the flames of the conflict in the mistaken belief that it could defeat Russia.
Putin told Russia’s political and military elite, flanked by four Russian tricolour flags on either side of him, that Russia would “carefully and consistently resolve the tasks before us.”
Putin stated that Russia had done everything possible to avoid war, but that Western-backed Ukraine was planning an attack on Crimea.

He also claimed that the West was “completely to blame” for the Ukraine crisis. “The responsibility for escalating the Ukrainian conflict, for the number of victims… lies entirely with Western elites,” Putin told Russia’s top officials and political elites.
