Twitter suspends ANI Twitter account:  Twitter has suspended the handle of one of India’s largest news agencies ANI, because it is younger than 13 year, in violation of Twitter rules. ANI’s manager, Smita Prakash, took to Twitter to educate their devotees regarding what is going on. The news agency has approximately 7.6 million followers on its handle and was previously honored with the coveted golden tick as an official organization on the social media platform.

This move by Twitter has created disappointment and turmoil for ANI and its supporters. In a tweet, Smita Prakash expressed her disappointment by stating that India’s largest news agency had been blocked from Twitter. She also said that before they were locked out, their golden tick was taken away and replaced with a blue tick.

ANI has confirmed that its other verified Twitter handle, @ani_digital, is still active, and the organization will continue to tweet from all of its verified Twitter handles until the primary ANI handle is reinstated. It is muddled right now the way that long the suspension will endure, and what explicit rule ANI has disregarded.

Twitter’s verified blue ticks were deleted from all accounts on Thursday.
Individual Twitter users who have verified blue checkmarks are those who pay for Twitter Blue, which costs USD 8 per month via the web and USD 11 per month via in-app payment on iOS and Android.

Several Bollywood celebrities, including Shah Rukh Khan, Amitabh Bachchan, Alia Bhatt, and politicians such as CM Yogi Adityanath, Rahul Gandhi, and Priyanka Gandhi, as well as cricketers Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma, have lost their verified blue ticks from their Twitter accounts as a result of the recent development.

Bollywood celebrities such as Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, Alia Bhatt, and others have lost their Twitter blue ticks. Ratan Tata and Anand Mahindra, both industrialists, have had their Twitter accounts deactivated, as have several politicians, including Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Rahul Gandhi, and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra.
