The National Testing Agency (NTA) on Tuesday announced the results for the NEET UG 2023 examination, where Shakil Hussain from Assam emerged as the topper from the North East region. A student at Potential and Concept Educations in Guwahati, Shakil scored an impressive 695 out of 720 marks.
This year, NEET UG 2023 was held on May 7 and saw approximately 21 lakh candidates participating, out of which 11,45,976 were successful. Uttar Pradesh stood out as the state with the highest number of passing candidates (1,39,961), closely followed by Maharashtra with 1,31,000 successful aspirants. The results for NEET UG 2023 are now accessible on the official NTA website, neet.nta.nic.in.
NEET UG qualifiers will now be eligible for admission to various medical courses, including 1,05,433 MBBS, 27,948 BDS, 52,720 AYUSH, 487 BSc Nursing, and 603 BVSc seats. In addition, 15 AIIMS with 1205 seats and two JIPMERs with 200 seats are also on offer for the eligible candidates.
The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will soon announce the dates for counselling. Aspiring students who have qualified in NEET UG 2023 must register on the MCC’s official website, mcc.nic.in, to participate in the seat allotment process.
