Assam CM inaugurated and laid foundation stones for projects worth over ₹1,031.68 as part of the ‘Fortnight for Development’ initiative in the Lakhimpur district. The upcoming bridge over the Subansiri river at Ghunasuti will fulfill the long-pending aspirations of the people of the district.

Himanta Biswa Sarma inaugurated 13 and laid foundation stones for 13 projects worth ₹1,031.68 cr in the Lakhimpur district.

The Assam state cabinet has approved a flyover from Guwahati’s Handique Collge near Paltanbazar Railway Station to the Noonmati area in order to make Guwahati the gateway to the northeast.

The proposed flyover will be four-lane and approximately 7-8 kilometers long. The flyover will connect the Paltanbazar Railway Station to the Noonmati area of Guwahati without any intersections along the Gopinath Bordaloi path.

As part of ‘Fortnight for Development’ initiative Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma laid foundation stones and inaugurated projects worth ₹894 cr in the Majuli district. Also distributed cheques to families affected by land acquisition for road construction. During a programme, Sarma stated that projects worth Rs 40,000 crore would be inaugurated or launched in various districts over the next few months.

FOUNDATION STONES:
✅Main campus of Majuli Cultural University ₹51 cr
✅Upgradation of ITI at Bangaon – ₹5 cr
✅Central Mid-Day Meal kitchen (₹14 cr) in collaboration with Akshaya Patra Foundation
✅Ring bund along Brahmaputra from Jabarchuk to Haldhibari ₹29 cr

✅Multipurpose Flood Shelter, Karatipar – ₹2.51 cr (ASDMA)
✅Phuloni-Oflamukh Ghat road via Bongaon – ₹19.95 cr(NABARD & SOPD-G)
