Govt Approves SSC to Conduct Exam in 13 regional languages including Assamese

SSC Exam pattern: Following the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF), the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) will now hold exams in 13 regional languages, including Assamese.

The exam will also be given in Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Marathi, Malayalam, Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Odia, Urdu, Punjabi, Manipuri (also Meiti), and Konkani.

On Tuesday, the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) approved the decision to hold the Staff Selection Commission Multitasking (non-technical) Staff (SSC MTS) and the CHSLE Examination in 13 regional languages in addition to Hindi and English.

 

According to an official announcement, the question paper will also be set in Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Marathi, Malayalam, Kannada, Tamil, Telugu, Odia, Urdu, Punjabi, Manipuri (also Meiti), and Konkani.

The declaration came just a few days after the Ministry of Home Affairs announced that the CAPF Constable GD exam would be held in regional languages.

According to the Ministry of Personnel, the decision to administer SSC exams in regional languages was made in response to representations from several states.

Dr. Jitendra Singh, Union Minister of State for Personnel, Public Grievances, and Pensions, stated that efforts are being made to eventually include all of the languages specified in the Constitution’s Eighth Schedule in these recruitment exams.

SSC GD Constable 2023: Physical Test Exam Postponed

An significant announcement has been made for candidates taking the Staff Selection Commission GD Constable PET/PST Exam 2023. The SSC GD Physical Efficiency Test (PET)/Physical Standard Test (PST) has been rescheduled for April 24, 2023. The Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) will shortly release the center-wise SSC GD PET/PST admit card 2023 on its official website – rect.crpf.gov.in.
