Team India continued their unbeaten run in the ongoing ICC Cricket World Cup after defeating New Zealand in the semi-final at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on Wednesday. It was Rohit Sharma and Co’s 10th win in a row in the tournament.
They won all nine games in the league stage and followed it up with a convincing win over the New Zealand in the semifinal.
The Men in Blue are now on the verge of equaling Australia’s record of most wins in a single edition of the tournament.
Australia, in 2003 and 2007, won 11 games in a row on its way to winning the World Cup.
The win in the World Cup final on November 19 will take India to top alongside Australia in the list of team with most consecutive wins in a single edition of World Cup.
Team India will face the winner of AUS vs SA semi-final 2 at Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad on November 19.
