The Income Tax department is currently carrying out raids on the properties owned by Dr. Pramod Sharma, the owner of Pratiksha Hospital in Guwahati.
According to sources, the IT department is conducting raids at various places in the city and the Hospitals located on the VIP road. IT department recently raided on the Apartment building named, Exotica Greens, located in RG Barua Road.
Reportedly, the investigation is focusing on substantial tax evasion allegations against Pratiksha Hospital, with claims indicating non-maintenance of legal income recording practices.
The department is currently examining the documents of pharmacy, laboratory, cash counter and bank account among others of the hospital.
Meanwhile, the department also raided the residence of the owner of Pratiksha Hospital, Dr Pramod Sharma.
