Nashik: After a bus collided with a truck and caught fire in Maharashtra’s Nashik city, 11 people were killed and 24 others were injured. According to the details, the incident occurred around 5 a.m. on Saturday.
According to officials, the bus caught fire on the city’s Aurangabad road.

“The majority of those killed were passengers on the bus, which was a sleeper coach. The injured were taken to the hospital for treatment “Nashik Deputy Commissioner of Police Amol Tambe stated.
He stated that a case has been filed and that an investigation is underway to determine the exact cause of the fire.
Videos showed a massive ball of fire engulfing the bus as firefighters attempted to extinguish the flames.

According to witnesses, the accident occurred around 5.15 a.m., after which they called the police and an ambulance.
They claimed that the fire was so intense that they couldn’t save the passengers.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has announced monetary assistance of Rs. 2 lakh for each family that has lost a member in an accident. The injured would be compensated with $50,000.
At the time of the incident, the private bus, a’sleeper’ coach, was carrying more than 30 passengers.
According to an official, it collided with a truck at Nandur Naka and caught fire within minutes.
According to the official, the injured were rushed to a nearby hospital.
According to him, the majority of those killed and injured were bus passengers.
He added that the truck was travelling from Dhule to Mumbai.

PM Narendra Modi also announced an ex-gratia of Rs 2 lakhs from PMNRF to the next of kin of each of the deceased in the Nashik bus fire.
