Aero India 2023: Prime Minister Narendra Modi today inaugurated Aero India 2023, Asia’s largest aero show, in Bengaluru. The 14th edition of the event will showcase indigenous equipment and technologies in order to foster collaboration with foreign companies.
PM Modi said during the event’s inauguration that Aero India reflects India’s new strength and aspirations. He also cited the Tejas aircraft and the INS Vikrant as examples of India’s potential.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi promoted India as an appealing destination for investment in the defence manufacturing sector on Monday, saying the country will work to become one of the world’s leading exporters of military hardware.
Modi made the remarks after launching the 14th edition of Aero India at the Yalahanka Air Force station complex on Bengaluru’s outskirts.

Over 700 defence companies and delegates from 98 countries are expected to attend the five-day exhibition, according to officials.
This edition of Aero India highlights the country as an emerging hub for the production of military aircraft, helicopters, military equipment, and cutting-edge avionics.
They estimate that around 250 business-to-business agreements will be signed at Aero India, resulting in an investment of around Rs 75,000 crore.
Modi stated that the “New India” of the twenty-first century will not miss any opportunities and will not be short on hard work.
Aerobatics will be featured at Aero India 2023, as well as a large exhibition and trade fair of aerospace and defence companies.
Aero India 2023 will feature nearly 809 companies from 98 countries. “The Runway to a Billion Opportunities” is the theme of Aero India 2023.
An air show at the event featured a slew of Indian Air Force aircraft displaying their aerial prowess.
Aero India’s theme is “The runway to a billion opportunities,” and it is intended to project India’s growth and capabilities in the defence and aerospace sectors.
According to officials, the event’s focus will be on showcasing indigenous equipment and technologies and forging partnerships with foreign companies, in line with the government’s ‘Make in India, Make for the World’ vision.
Aero India, according to Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, will act as a catalyst for further growth in India’s aerospace sector.
