World Heart Day is observed globally on 29th September every year.  The World Heart Federation established World Heart Day, which is observed annually on September 29th. Its goal was to educate people all over the world about cardiovascular disease (CVD).

“Use Heart for Every Heart” is the theme for World Heart Day in 2022. The theme emphasizes the goal of bringing people from all over the world together to fight cardiovascular diseases.

Over 17 million people die from heart disease each year. To combat this, the World Heart Federation established World Heart Day. It is an annual event held on September 29th.

On the other hand, Heart attacks, cardiac arrests, and strokes account for one-fifth of all deaths in India, including among the young.
According to the National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI), cardiovascular diseases strike Indians ten years earlier than they do in the West, and up to 3 million people die from heart attacks, strokes, and cardiac arrest each year. Approximately 40% of those who have a heart attack or cardiac arrest are under the age of 55.

History of World Heart Day 2022:

The World Heart Federation, in collaboration with the World Health Organization, established the international holiday. Antoni Bayés de Luna, president of the World Heart Federation from 1997 to 1999, conceived of this concept. The first annual event was celebrated on September 24, 2000, and until 2011, World Heart Day was observed on the last Sunday in September.
