War 2: With the inclusion of RRR star Jr NTR, the sequel to Yash Raj Films’ 2019 hit War has grown even larger. The Telugu superstar’s inclusion in the Hrithik Roshan-led cast of War 2 was revealed today.
Taran Adarsh, a trade analyst, tweeted: “It is now official. War 2 stars Hrithik-Jr NTR. YRF performs a casting coup. In War 2, Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR will share screen time for the first time. The film is directed by Ayan Mukerji. Spy Universe YRF.” Hrithik is expected to reprise his role as super spy Kabir; no information about Jr NTR’s involvement has been published.
It was recently announced that War 2 would be directed by Brahmastra director Ayan Mukherjee, who previously hinted about directing a large picture from another universe. A day later, the film’s casting information astonished everyone.
According to the publication, “Jr NTR is one of South India’s most revered and followed icons. He is reported to be very picky about his films, and if he has given the picture a nod, it indicates War outperforms the first film in terms of plot and scale. The duel between Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR will be one to remember! Let’s set a reminder to watch this showdown on the first day! Aditya Chopra had to take War to a whole new level in terms of scope, and the addition of Jr NTR has made this offer incredibly appealing to fans.”
