Urvashi Rautela is not in Rishab Shetty’s Kantara 2 cast. According to a source close to the production company, Hombale Films, the actor’s recent Instagram post, which appeared to indicate that she was part of the recently announced prequel, was false. According to the source, Urvashi was only in the same area as Rishab and took a photo with him. Earlier this month, the actor-filmmaker revealed at a Bengaluru event that a prequel to the blockbuster Kannada film will be made and released in theatres worldwide in 2024.
The reports that actress Urvashi Rautela will join the cast of Rishab Shetty’s ‘Kantara 2’ are “baseless and untrue.”

A source close to production has issued a clarification, stating that all of these rumours are false.
According to a source close to the production company, “all rumours surrounding Urvashi Rautela’s casting in Kantara 2 are completely baseless and untrue.”
“Urvashi Rautela was recently on the same premises as Rishab Shetty, and she requested to meet the Kantara star, who politely obliged. She shared a photo of herself with him with a cryptic caption, sparking these completely false rumours.”

Urvashi made her Bollywood debut in 2013 with Singh Saab The Great and is frequently in the news for her bizarre social media posts. Shetty, on the other hand, has received praise for his most recent release as well as his previous works, most notably Kirik Party.
Rishab, who also produced and directed the film, revealed that the story would continue, albeit in prequel form, as Kantara reached 100 days in early February. He had stated, “We would like to thank the audience for their overwhelming love and support for Kantara. The film has successfully completed 100 days with the blessing of almighty Daiva, and I would like to take this opportunity to announce the film’s prequel.”
