Pathaan Trailer: The Shah Rukh Khan film ‘Pathaan,’ which has been the subject of controversy since the release of its song ‘Besharam Rang,’ is once again making headlines for the wrong reasons, this time in Ahmedabad.
Due to the promotion of Shah Rukh Khan’s upcoming film Pathaan, the Hindu group Bajrang Dal vandalized an Ahmedabad mall. They also tore down the movie posters and warned them not to release the film in theatres.
“#BoycottPathaanMovie,” tweeted Bajrang Dal. Pathaan was thrashed by the Bajrangis today in Karnavati. Anti-Sanatan Dharma films Deepika Padukone of the Tukde gang and Shah Rukh Khan will no longer be allowed to run. If the movie is released, Bajrang Dal will show his attitude, so go to the multiplex. In honour of Dharma, at Bajrang Dal.”

Members of the Bajrang Dal, a branch of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP), caused a commotion at the Alpha One Mall in Ahmedabad’s Vastrapur on Wednesday during the film’s promotion. During their protest, Bajrang Dal members tore down pictures of Shahrukh Khan and his co-stars.
The protesters also threatened the mall’s management that if the film is released, they will launch an even more vehement protest.
The protesters were caught on video damaging mall property.
Protesters were seen shouting slogans and tearing posters and large cut-outs of Pathaan’s star cast in a video shared by the VHP.

This comes after members of the Hindu Jagran Manch protested the film at Indore’s INOX theatres. They chanted slogans and delivered a memorandum to theatre management, demanding that the film not be released in theatres.
“If the film Pathaan is released, there will be a fierce protest,” said Jagdish Khatri, president of the Hindu Jagran Manch, according to news agency ANI. We delivered a memorandum to the management of INOX Theatre today regarding the film’s non-release.”
Pathaan’s song Besharam Rang has also sparked controversy after the Child Welfare Commission (CWC) in Uttar Pradesh’s Bahraich urged the state DGP to remove video clips of the song from social media platforms. In its letter, the CWC stated that the song and its videos may have a “adverse impact on the psyche of adolescents.”
I appeal to take action against them as soon as possible, they will destroy the country. @yrf @iamsrk @deepikapadukone #Pathaan #PathaanTrailer #ShahRukhKhan #pathaanmovie #DeepikaPadukone pic.twitter.com/8un77XyGM9
