Mumbai: A major fire broke out on the set of a daily soap opera in Mumbai’s film city of Goregaon. According to officials, the fire department received a call about the fire on the set of ‘Gum Hai Kisi Ke Pyaar Mein’ at 4.30 p.m. So far, no injuries have been reported. The fire was initially contained to the ground floor of a 2,000-square-foot film studio in Goregaon film city.

The fire, however, spread to other nearby sets, including ‘Teri Meri Dooriyan’ and ‘Ajooni’. According to officials, the fire alert has been upgraded to Level 3 because it has spread to 4-5 studios due to wind flow.
According to Avinash Dhakne, Managing Director of Film City, no one was injured in the incident, but the fire spread quickly because the set contained combustible materials and the wind speed was high.
The production company for the TV show said in a statement that “the members of the cast and crew” of the serial were safe.
According to a Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation official, the fire had been covered from all sides and a dousing operation was underway.
According to the official, at least 12 fire engines, seven water jetties, one water tanker, three automatic turn-tables (AWTT), one quick response vehicle, and other fire brigade vehicles were on the scene.
The fire department classified the blaze as level 3, with level 4 being the most serious.
