The film’s trailer was released on Netflix’s YouTube channel on Monday evening. Nick and Audrey Spitz (Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston) have become full-time detectives four years after solving their first murder mystery, according to the trailer. The duo is invited to their friend the Maharaja’s (Adeel Akhtar) wedding on his private island.

Murder Mystery 2 is an upcoming comedy mystery film written and directed by Jeremy Garelick. It is a follow-up to the 2019 film Murder Mystery, which starred Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston. Murder Mystery 2 will be available on Netflix on March 31.
However, some people complained that the trailer portrayed Indian weddings in a stereotypical manner. The groom appears in the trailer atop an elephant. When discussing it, someone asked, as Diet Sabya shared, “Why the hell is an elephant included in every Indian white wedding?” Sharing trailer stills, a comment read, “It’s not Adam’s sherwani. Jen looks fantastic! I mean, it could easily have crossed the line into tacky NRI (like the other outfits in the scene).”
