Hera Pheri 3: Kartik Aaryan appears to have replaced Akshay Kumar in the upcoming Hera Pheri sequel! Yes, you read that correctly. Not only that, but Paresh Rawal confirmed the news on his Twitter account. According to reports, Khiladi Kumar was dissatisfied with the quality and vision of the sequels and decided to leave the project!
There has been a lot of Hera Pheri activity surrounding the casting of Hera Pheri 3. It was previously reported that Akshay Kumar would appear in three films: Hera Pheri 3, Awara Pagal Deewana 2, and Welcome 3. Producer Firoz Nadiadwala and actor Akshay Kumar have been in talks for quite some time, and the reports have piqued the interest of all Khiladi fans. Just days after the reports surfaced, it was revealed that Hera Pheri 3 will star Kartik Aaryan rather than Akshay Kumar.

According to reports, For Hera Pheri 3, Akshay Kumar quoted Rs. 90 crores in fees plus a percentage of the profits, whereas Kartik Aaryan was willing to do it for Rs. 30 crores. Firoz went to the satellite and digital players with the two potential casting calls, and that’s when he realised that working with Kartik Aaryan was providing him with more lucrative returns than working with Akshay. The difference in remuneration between the two actors was nearly Rs. 60 crores. However, Kartik’s film earned only Rs. 15 crores less from satellite and digital players than Akshay’s. By signing Kartik for the film, Firoz was on the verge of saving Rs. 45 crores.”
Here’s the reason Akshay is not doing Hera Pheri 3: He was asking for the sort of money which is about 70% of the total budget of the film. And without any guarantees about the returns seeing his recent track record. His greed is the reason he was kicked out of his own franchise.

Hera Pheri 3 was announced earlier this decade, starring Abhishek Bachchan, John Abraham, Suniel Shetty, and Paresh Rawal. After shooting for over a month, the film was halted in the middle for a variety of reasons. The sequel to Welcome was also attempted in 2015 as Welcome Back, starring John Abraham, but the film failed to live up to the original.
