Black Panther Wakanda Forever: Black Panther 2, Wakanda Forever was an emotional rollercoaster for both fans and creators. Everyone was taken aback when Chadwick Boseman died unexpectedly. Questions about the sequel to Black Panther arose soon after his death. As speculation about the character’s fate grew, the producers revealed that they will not recast the superhero, and thus the plot was altered. In a recent interview with The New York Times, Black Panther director Ryan Coogler revealed that the original plan for the sequel, Wakanda Forever, was significantly different.
Ryan Coogler has revealed some details about the original Wakanda Forever plot and “the first scene was an animated sequence. You hear Nakia talking to Toussaint. She says, ‘Tell me what you know about your father.’ You realize that he doesn’t know his dad was the Black Panther” pic.twitter.com/iKzGgnFDvK

The sequel to Black Panther (Black Panther: Wakanda Forever) was supposed to be a ‘father-son’ story:
Coogler revealed that the film was conceived as a “father-son story” centred on T’Challa, played by Chadwick Boseman, and his son Toussaint. The film was supposed to explore the dynamic between the two characters after T’Challa had been missing for five years as a result of the “Blip,” a plot point from Infinity War. According to People magazine, the ‘Black Panther’ director and co-writer Joe Robert Cole planned to centre the sequel on Chadwick Boseman’s character T’Challa struggling to learn how to be a father before Boseman’s death from colon cancer in 2020.
Coogler revealed that the film would begin with an animated sequence in which Nakia (Lupita Nyong’o) questions Toussaint about his father’s memories, followed by a scene in which T’Challa meets his son for the first time after being brought back from the Blip. The rest of the film would revolve around T’Challa co-parenting with his son and eventually accompanying him on a mission to save the world.
