Meanwhile, Apple Inc. intends to begin production in the country very soon. According to company announcements, the first batch of products is expected next quarter after Apple chose India as their new Asian manufacturing partner to reduce their reliance on China following the pandemic.

Wistron already has a plant in India and contracts with Apple Inc. to manufacture iPhones.

According to sources,  Tata Electronics Pvt Ltd, which has a manufacturing facility in Tamil Nadu, has been working with Apple to design and manufacture mechanical parts for iPhone for nearly two years.

The iPhone is mostly manufactured in East and Southeast Asia, where labour is cheap and plentiful. China, Taiwan, Thailand, Vietnam, the Philippines, Malaysia, and Indonesia are the main countries that exhibit these characteristics and contribute to iPhone production.

Foxconn is a Taiwanese manufacturer of electronic components. It produces the majority of the world’s iPhones. The incredible assembly line is one of its most significant advantages.

According to reports, One Foxconn factory is estimated to employ more than 200,000 workers on its assembly line, which can produce more than 50,000 iPhone 5 back plates per day. Foxconn has been the iPhone’s manufacturer for many years due to its incredible manufacturing efficiency.

On the other hand, on September 8, Apple launched the new iPhone 14 series with four models — iPhone 14, 14 Plus, 14 Pro, and 14 Pro Max — that start from Rs 79,900. Customers in India can get the 6.1-inch iPhone 14 for Rs 79,900 and the 6.7-inch iPhone 14 Plus for Rs 89,900.

The iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus have a new 12MP main camera with a larger sensor and larger pixels, a new front TrueDepth camera, an Ultra Wide camera to capture more of a scene, and a Photonic Engine for a significant improvement in low-light performance.
