Budget 2023: Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman is presenting Budget 2023, the Narendra Modi government’s final full-fledged budget before the general election next year.
With a budget of Rs 15,000 crore, the Finance Minister announces the launch of a national mission for vulnerable tribes. The mission seeks to assist India’s vulnerable tribes in areas such as health, clean water and sanitation, basic infrastructure, and sustainable livelihood opportunities.

According to the Finance Minister, a National Cooperative database is being developed, as are plans to establish a massive decentralised storage capacity. Over the next five years, this will make it easier to establish fisheries, farm, and dairy cooperative societies in underserved villages. This is intended to boost allied agricultural activities in the hinterland.

Budget 2023 by Nirmala Sitharaman Highlights:
-The agricultural credit target will be raised to Rs 20 lakh crore, with an emphasis on livestock, dairy, and fisheries.
– As a centre of excellence, the Indian Institute of Millet Research will be supported.
-50 additional airports, helipods, water aero drones, advanced landing grounds will be revived to improve regional air connectivity: FM Nirmala Sitharaman.

With an investment of Rs. 2,516 crores, 63,000 Primary Agricultural Credit Societies are being computerised; model bylaws for PACS have been developed, a national database is being prepared, and massive decentralised storage capacity will be established: Sitharaman.
FM Nirmala Sitharaman announced the PM Vishwa Karma Kaushal Samman, a package of assistance for traditional artisans and craftspeople that will allow them to improve the quality, scale, and reach of their products while integrating with the MSME value chain.
According to the Finance Minister, an Urban Infrastructure Development Fund (UIDF) will be established, similar to the Rural Infrastructure Development Fund (RIDF), to address priority sector lending shortfalls. She proposes allocating Rs 10,000 crore per year for this purpose. National Housing Bank will manage it (NHB).
