Budget 2023: FM Nirmala Sitharaman announced the PM Vishwa Karma Kaushal Samman, a package of assistance for traditional artisans and craftspeople that will allow them to improve the quality, scale, and reach of their products while integrating with the MSME value chain.

Finance Minister Nirmala Sithraman announced a special package for traditional artisans and craftspeople under the PM Vishwa Karma Kaushal Samman on Wednesday in order to integrate them into the MSME value chain. The finance minister made the announcement during her budget speech. “PM Vishwa Karma Kaushal Samman – package of assistance for traditional artisans and craftspeople has been conceptualised,” Sitharaman said.

On February 1, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presented her fifth Budget (Wednesday). This was her final full budget as Finance Minister in the Narendra Modi 2.0 government.

 

Budget 2023 by Nirmala Sitharaman Highlights:

-Agriculture credit target to be raised to ₹20 lakh crore

– 30 skill India international centres to be set up, says Finance Minister

-The government proposes to set up a national digital library for facilitating the availability of quality books States will be encouraged to set up physical libraries at panchayat and ward levels and provide infrastructure for accessing the national digital library resources

-FM has announced the launch of the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana 4.0. Nirmala Sitharaman stated that 30 Skill India International Centres will be established across various states. To prepare young people for international opportunities.

-A National Digital Library for Children and Adolescents will be established to facilitate the availability of quality books across languages, geographies, and genres; states will establish physical libraries and provide infra to access library resources, said FM Nirmala Sitharaman during her Budget presentation in the Lok Sabha.
