Meanwhile, The incident occurred on Saturday night as a result of the Subansiri river overflow of water, and the company evacuated all of its employees from the powerhouse, which houses all of the machinery.
According to reports, the company had built five diversion tunnels as short-term solutions to divert the river during the dam foundation construction.
However, due to landslides, two diversion tunnels — tunnel no. 5 in the outlet in 2020 and tunnel no. 2 near the entry point on September 16 — were closed.
