According to The Verge, a 2024 release date is significantly earlier than the last significant foldable iPad prediction, which came from Display Supply Chain Consultant analyst Ross Young last February.

He claimed that Apple is working on a foldable iPad/MacBook hybrid with a roughly 20-inch folding screen, but that it won’t be available until 2026.
Later, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman reported that Apple was looking into a dual-screen foldable, and that the bottom half of the display would function as a virtual keyboard when used as a MacBook-style clamshell.
Although Gurman did not provide a specific release date, he did say in October that Apple’s foldable iPad would be available “later in the decade,” according to The Verge.
To recall, it was rumoured in October 2022 that the company was working on and planning to launch its first foldable iPad instead of iPhone in 2024. People who have been following Samsung and LG fodable devices have been expecting a fodable iPhone for quite some time, but the tech giant has made no statement about the device being considered.
