Koeman to take charge of the Dutch National team again for the second time after 2022 World Cup. As per the latest report Koeman has agreed a deal to coach the National side again till 2026 world Cup in Americas.
Current coach Louis Van Gaal take charged as the head coach from Frank De Boer on August 2021. He will step down from the role after this year World Cup.
Former Barcelona and Manchester United Coach Van Gaal, earlier this week announce that, he was suffering from prostate cancer.
Koeman, who won 78 caps for his country as a player, previously coached the Netherlands from 2018 to 2020, taking charge following Dick Advocaat’s failure to qualify the nation for the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
Under Koeman, the Netherlands successfully qualified for the 2020 European Championship. The 59-year-old, however, left his role having been offered the head coaching position at former club Barcelona in the summer of 2020 — a year before the postponed Euros were due to begin.
Koeman has been in management since 2000, on the club level he had coach Ajax, Southampton, Everton and Barcelona.
In the upcoming 2022 world Cup Van Gaal side are drawn alongside Senegal, Qatar and Ecuador in group A. They will play the opening Match on Novemeber 21 against Senegal.
