World Cup 2022 Final: Argentina is the 2022 FIFA World Cup Champion! Argentina beat defending champion France by 4-2 (3-3 in extra time) on penalties to win FIFA World Cup.

After Diego Maradona won Argentina’s second World Cup in 1986, his much-touted successor Messi literally powdered and spurred Argentina to its first World Cup victory in 34 years.

Argentina vs. France Argentina and France were tied at 2-2 when the World Cup final entered extra time. Kylian Mbappé’s two goals near the end of the second half put the defending champions back in the game.

Argentina defeated France 4-2 on penalties after the scores were knotted 3-3 in extra time, giving Lionel Messi his first FIFA World Cup trophy. France’s Kylian Mbappe scored a hat-trick, while Messi added two more. Argentina’s only other goal came from Angel di Maria.

Lionel Messi scored a penalty in the 23rd minute and the winner in the 109th minute, while Angel Di Maria netted in the 36th minute for Argentina, while Kylian Mbappe converted a penalty in the 80th minute, added another in the 81st, and completed his hat-trick in the 118th minute for France in the final of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 at the Lusial Stadium on Sunday, with both teams vying for their third title.

The winner of the FIFA World Cup 2022 final will receive $42 million in prize money, which is approximately Rs 347 crore. This is a significant sum. The winner will receive $30 million (Rs 248 crore). The third-placed team (Croatia, who defeated Morocco 2-1 on Saturday night) receives $27 million (Rs 2.39 billion), while the fourth-placed team receives $25 million (Rs 2.06 billion).

Brazil, the Netherlands, Portugal, and England will each receive $17 million for reaching the quarter-finals. The United States, Senegal, Australia, Poland, Spain, Japan, Switzerland, and South Korea will each receive $13 million for reaching the round of 16. In addition, Qatar, Ecuador, Wales, Iran, Mexico, Saudi Arabia, Denmark, Tunisia, Canada, Belgium, Germany, Costa Rica, Serbia, Cameroon, Ghana, and Uruguay will each receive $9 million for their participation in the group stages.
