Debutants Gujarat Titans were crowned the Indian Premier League (IPL) champions on Sunday after they beat Rajasthan Royals by seven wickets on Sunday in the final at Narendra Modi stadium in Ahmedabad.

 

Rajasthan Royal won the toss and choose to bat first and they just manage to keep a target of 130/9 in the 20 overs. Gujarat Titans led by skipper Hardik Pandya manage to chase the target of 131 runs with a loss of just 3 wickets in 19.1 over.

Gujarat Titans put up a stellar performance throughout the season and at their home ground for the first time, Skipper Hardik Pandya led the team from the frontfoot, took 3 wickets while  bowling first and later batted for 34 runs to give his team a taste of victory.

 

 

Skipper Hardik Pandya proves to be the biggest hero for the team. He bats brilliantly throughout the tournament. Pandya scored 487 runs this season and became the highest scoring batsman for his team.
