BCCI: In a historic move, the BCCI announced equal pay for all contracted men and women Team India cricketers on Thursday. Jay Shah, the BCCI secretary, announced the news on Twitter. BCCI announces the implementation of a pay equity policy for contracted Indian women cricketers. The match fee for both Men and Women Cricketers will be the same.

Harmanpreet Kaur and her teammates will earn the same match fees as their male counterparts under the current system: 15 lakh per Test, 6 lakh per ODI, and 3 lakh per T20I.

on the other hand, India retained their Women’s Asia Cup dominance with an eight-wicket victory over a self-destructing Sri Lanka in the final, their seventh title in eight editions. Sri Lanka imploded after opting to bat on a slow and turning pitch in their first tournament final in 14 years. They only managed 65 for nine, which India chased down in 8.3 overs. Smriti Mandhana hit a stunning 51-ball not out. Despite the dismissals of Shafali Verma and Jemimah Rodrigues, Smriti continued her blitzkrieg as she and skipper Harmanpreet Kaur cruised to victory.
In the finals of the Women’s Asia Cup 2022, India defeated Sri Lanka by an innings and eight wickets. India has won the position for the seventh time. The toss was won by Sri Lanka, who chose to bat first.
Renuka Singh Thakur took three wickets against Sri Lanka, while Rajeshwari Gayakwad and Sneh Rana each took two. The final Asia Cup 2022 match between India and Sri Lanka was played at Sylhet International Cricket Stadium in Sylhet.
