Assam: Assam to Host Asian Kho Kho Championship from March 20-23

Assam: The 4th Asian Kho Kho Championship (Men and Women) will be held in Tamulpur, Assam, from March 20 to 23. The Assam Kho Kho Association made the announcement at a press conference held at the Hotel City Palace in Guwahati. The championship will be hosted by the Kho Kho Federation of India.

The championship is expected to feature at least 14 countries, including India, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Indonesia, Iran, Iraq, Malaysia, Nepal, Pakistan, Singapore, South Korea, the United Arab Emirates, Azerbaijan, and Sri Lanka. The championship is expected to attract over 400 athletes.

 

The India team selection process will take place from March 14 to 18 at Sarusajai Stadium in Guwahati. The results will be announced on March 18 in the evening.

Over Rs. 4 crores has been set aside for the championship, which will feature some of Asia’s best Kho Kho players competing for top honours.

Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma will attend the Asian Kho Kho Championship’s opening ceremony. Lieutenant General Rana Pratap Kalita will be with him at the ceremony. The championship promises to be an exciting experience for sports fans, with some of Asia’s most talented Kho Kho players coming together to showcase their skills.

The championship theme song was released ahead of time, adding to the excitement and anticipation surrounding the event. All eyes will be on Tamulpur as the 4th Asian Kho Kho Championship begins, with fans eager to see who will win this highly anticipated competition.

India, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Indonesia, Iran, Iraq, Malaysia, Nepal, Pakistan, Singapore, South Korea, the United Arab Emirates, Azerbaijan, and Sri Lanka are among the countries involved.

The championship will take place from March 20 to March 23.

The championship will feature more than 400 athletes.

The India team selection process will take place from March 14 to March 18 at Sarusajai Stadium in Guwahati, with the results expected by the evening of March 18.

Meanwhile, more than Rs. 4 crores has been set aside for the championship.
