International Nurse Day is Celebrated every year on 12 May. It is a special day to honour and celebrate the contribution of nurses all over the world. It is the birth anniversary of Florence Nightingale. The special day was chosen by the International Council of Nurses and has been observed officially since 1974. The inspiration behind the day is the iconic Florence Nightingale, the British nurse who dedicated her life to the improvement of the health sector. Florence Nightingale is consider as the founder of modern nursing.

Before the covid pandemic the nurse has been regarded as the great serving individual after mother.
