There will be peace and rapid development in Assam- PM Modi

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on a visit to Assam today. He addressed a ‘Peace, Harmony and Development’ rally at Diphu in Karbi Anglong district. Speaking on the occasion, the Prime Minister said that in the nectar of independence, Karbi Anglong is also heading towards a new future of peace and development. The Prime Minister laid the foundation stone for more than 2950 Amrit Sarovar projects. The state government will develop this sarovar at a cost of Rs 1150 crore. PM Modi has inaugurated six other cancer hospitals besides Dibrugarh Cancer Hospital to the nation.

Addressing a public rally Prime Minister Narendra Modi said.. “There will be lasting peace and rapid development in Assam. Better work has also been done to rehabilitate those who have left their weapons and returned to build the nation.

PM Modi also paid obeisance to Lachit Barphukan on his 400th birth year. He said indeed it a blessing that country celebrate 75th year of independent on Lachit Barphukan 400th birth year.

He also mentions that, difficulties in the Northeast have been declining since 2014, people are developing. . In September last year, several organizations of Karbi Anglong were involved in the solution to peace and development. The Bodo Agreement opened new doors for lasting peace in 2020. Apart from Assam, THE NLFT also took steps on the path of peace in Tripura and the bru-range problem that has been going on for nearly two and a half decades was also resolved.

He thank the people who have attended the rally, an assured Karbi Anglong is heading towards a new future of peace and development. He urged the people to not look back from this  but to work together for peace and development that have not been able to achieved in the last two decade.
