KANGLEIPAK KANBA LUP (KKL) Banned Soma Laishram from Acting in Films and Social function for three years for participating at the recent held North East Festival organised by the MyhomeIndia at Talkotara Stadium in New Delhi on 16th September 2023.
The action was taken as Soma had been urged by the organization and fellow Meitei compatriots to avoid such events due to the ongoing turmoil in Manipur. However the actor choose to ignored them despite their appeal.
Soma took part as a showstopper in a beauty peagent at the recently held North East Festival. Many of hers fans and people lauded her both online and offline, for speaking up on the Manipur Violence and highlighting the current situation of the State.

The press statement from the organisation comes two days after Soma attended the North East Festival, 2023 at Delhi, which was organised by myhomeindia.
The organization also warn that any individual or group that defy this directives and involved Soma in their ventures the consequences of their act should be their own.
