On Sunday, Assam Congress Leader and MLA Rakibul Hussain resigned from the party’s office. Hussain is going to campaign for Mallikarjun Kharge. The MLA decided on the Congress Presidential election. Abdul Khaleque resigned from his post and APCC duties on Saturday.
He also decided to participate in Mallikarjun Kharge’s campaign for Congress President.

They have not resigned from the Congress Party, but only from the additional responsibilities of the Assam Congress Party office. To participate in an election campaign, any MLA or leader had to resign from any other duties of the party office, according to the Congress party’s rules.
On the other hand, Mallikarjun Kharge, who visited Hyderabad and Vijayawada on Saturday to meet with members of the Pradesh Congress Committee and party workers, stated that if elected as president of the All India Congress Committee, he would implement the proposal of 50% seats for those under the age of 50.

Kharge also stated that he would work to resolve issues affecting farmers, workers, SCs, STs, OBCs, minorities, and small business owners. I believe in a team approach and bringing everyone along, including youth and women, he said.

Congress leader Mallikarjun Kharge said on Sunday that his race for party president with Shashi Tharoor was about putting forward their perspectives for the betterment of the country and the party. Kharge made the remarks during a meeting with party delegates at the Congress office in New Delhi, where he sought their support for the AICC presidential election.
Meanwhile,Congress leader Shashi Tharoor has been actively sharing glimpses of his interactions across cities in the run-up to the grand old party’s presidential elections on October 17. On Friday, the 66-year-old leader asserted once more that he is receiving substantial support for his candidacy.

Tharoor, who arrived in Tamil Nadu on Friday as part of a tour to rally support, released his manifesto and stated his support for limiting state presidents’ terms of office while speaking at the Congress state headquarters.
