The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi has paid tributes to former Prime Minister, Shri Rajiv Gandhi on his birth anniversary.
In a tweet, the Prime Minister said;

Rajiv Gandhi was the youngest Prime Minister and held the office during 1984-89, the last time the Congress had a majority in Lok Sabha.
He was assassinated by a LTTE suicide bomber in 1991.
