The Delhi Police’s Special Cell has arrested the fifth suspect in the Parliament security breach case while the sixth accused is still on the run.
Sagar Sharma, D Manoranjan, Amol Shinde and Neelam Devi and Vishal Sharma are the five people arrested in the case.
Police sources said the Parliament security breach was a well-planned and well-coordinated incident carried out by six people, all of whom were in contact with each other over Instagram and other social media platforms where they hatched the plan.
The Delhi Police has registered a case under the stringent Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act in connection with the Parliament security breach, officials said on Thursday. Around the same time, two other accused — Amol Shinde and Neelam Devi — sprayed coloured gas from canisters while shouting “tanashahi nahi chalegi” outside Parliament premises.
On Wednesday, the house witnessed a major security breach as two people identified as Sagar Sharma and Manoranjan D jumped into the Lok Sabha chamber from the public gallery during Zero Hour and released yellow gas from canisters. They shouted slogans before being overpowered by some MPs.
