Nupur Sharma ‘single-handedly responsible for what’s happening’ in country: SC

The Supreme Court on Friday slammed suspended BJP leader Nupur Sharma for her controversial remarks about the Prophet Mohammed during the TV debate and she was single-handedly responsible for  what is happening in the country.

As per the report, a bench of Justices Surya Kant and JB Pardiwala said that Sharma is single-handedly responsible for fanning flames across India and should apologise to the whole nation.

Sharma’s comments sparked outrage in West Asia and other Islamic nations, followed by protests across the country demanding arrest.

Nupur Sharma had requested the court to transfer to Delhi the multiple FIRs filed against her across the country, citing threats.

Here are some of the remarks made by the court on the matter.

The court slammed that she is responsible for everything that is happening in the country. “The lady is single-handedly responsible for everything that is happen in the country”

The court said she should apologies to the whole nation. “We saw the debate on how she was incited. But the way she said all this and later says she was a lawyer. It is shameful. She should apologies to the whole country.”

The court also further question the Delhi Police and the TV Channel. “what has Delhi police done? What was the TV debate about? Only to a fan and agenda? Why did they choose a sub-judice topic?

The court further slammed Sharma remark and said that “what if she is the spokesperson of the party. She thinks she has back up and power and can make any statement without respect to the law of the land?”
