Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) have increased the prices of commercial LPG cylinders by Rs 21 per cylinder in various locations across the country. Effective from today(Dec 1), this price hike is expected to notably impact the restaurant and food business, potentially influencing the dining expenses of individuals.
The commercial LPG rate has increased to Rs 1,796.50 per 19-kg cylinder from its previous price of Rs 1,775.50. However, there is no alteration in the price of domestic LPG, which is commonly used in household kitchens for cooking. The domestic LPG rate remains unchanged at Rs 903 per 14.2-kg cylinder.
Previously, the government had implemented a reduction of Rs 200 in the price of this cylinder. The household budget will not be significantly impacted since there is no rise in the prices of domestic cylinders, marking a positive development. Presently, the cost of a domestic LPG cylinder in Delhi stands at Rs 820.
