Kedarnath Yatra 2023 Registration: This year, the Kedarnath Temple’s gates have been opened to guests. This year, the temple walls are adorned with Assamese Jaapi or Japi.

The temple was established by Pandavas and is one of the twelve Jyotirlingas, according to Hindu tradition.

Kedarnath Dham reopens to pilgrims today, April 25, after closing its Kapat on October 26 last year. However, due to severe rain and snowfall, registrations for the Kedarnath Yatra have been halted in Haridwar and Rishikesh. However, Uttarakhand DGP Ashok Kumar has stated that pilgrims are now permitted to enter the Kedarnath Dham due to improved weather conditions.

The doors of the sacred temple were opened today, April 25, 2023, at 06:30 AM, with a special pooja. The priests of Ukhimath’s Omkareshwar Temple set the opening date and time of the Kedarnath shrine based on the Panchang, and the date was declared on Mahashivratri.

The opening date of Kedarnath Temple is determined by the auspicious day of Akshay Tritya and is announced every year on Maha Shivaratri.

The opening date of the Kedarnath shrine is determined by priests of the Omkareshwar Temple in Ukhimath using Hindu Panchang calculations.

And Kedarnath’s shutdown date is set on the day of Bhai Dooj after the Diwali celebration in November.

Kedarnath Opening and Closing Dates 2023:

Kedarnath’s closing date has been set, which is two days after Diwali, when Bhai Dooj is celebrated. Diwali will be held on November 12 in 2023, hence the Kedarnath Temple will be closed on November 14th. After the morning Pooja archana, the Kedarnath temple will be closed for the winter. On Vijaydashmi, the closing date of Kedarnath Dham for 2023 will be announced.

You may get to Kedarnath Temple from anywhere in India. Then Gaurikund will be your last route destination.

Your City  Haridwar or Rishikesh  Devprayag  Srinagar  Rudraprayag  Sonprayag  Gaurikund and then finally 16 km Trek to Kedarnath Temple.

Gaurikund is easily accessible from major Uttarakhand locations. After that, a 16-kilometer journey from Gaurikund would take you to the Kedarnath shrine.
