In a surprising turn of events, underworld don Dawood Ibrahim, has been wanted by India for his involvement in the 1993 Mumbai bombings, has purportedly been poisoned in Pakistan, and urgently transported to a hospital in Karachi. According to certain media accounts in Pakistan, Dawood was given poison by someone close to him, leading to his feeling unwell. Subsequently, he was admitted to a hospital in Karachi, where he received medical treatment. The reports also suggest that Dawood’s condition is critical and is under tight security.

However, some media sources in Pakistan have rejected these accounts as baseless and fabricated, asserting that Dawood is in good health and residing at his secure residence in Karachi. They have further accused India of circulating untrue rumors regarding Dawood’s well-being to generate panic and confusion among his associates and supporters.

Dawood Ibrahim stands as one of the most wanted-after terrorists globally, facing allegations of masterminding the 1993 Mumbai bombings that resulted in the death of over 250 individuals and injuries to thousands.

Additionally, he is suspected of engaging in diverse criminal endeavors, including drug trafficking, money laundering, extortion, and arms smuggling. Dawood is reputed to maintain strong connections with the Pakistani intelligence agency ISI and the terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Taiba.

India has persistently sought Dawood’s extradition from Pakistan for many years, furnishing numerous pieces of evidence regarding his presence and actions within Pakistan. Despite India’s claims, Pakistan consistently denies providing refuge to Dawood, asserting that he is not within its borders.

India has also offered a reward of $25 million for information leading to Dawood’s capture and has called on the global community to exert pressure on Pakistan for his surrender.
