As per the 2022 Forbes’ Real-Time Billionaires List, Adani Group Chairperson, Gautam Adani has become the world’s fourth richest person with a net worth of $115.5 billion, surpassing Microsoft cofounder Bill Gates.
Adani’s wealth surged by $2.9 billion after Adani’s stock surged in the market. Bill Gates who was holding the fourth position dropped to fifth after he announced last week that he would be donating $20 billion from his wealth to his non-profit.
Following the donation, Bill Gates has slipped just one spot to be the fifth richest in the world, worth an estimated $102 billion.
On the Forbes’ list, Elon Musk has ranked as the richest person with $230 billion net worth, followed by Bernard Arnault of Louis Vuitton at the second spot and Amazon’s Jeff Bezos at third on the list.
Meanwhile, India’s Reliance Industries’ (RIL) Mukesh Ambani was at tenth spot on the Forbes Real time billionaires list with a net worth of $88 billion.
