Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan: The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has advised the producers of Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone’s upcoming film ‘Pathaan’ to make changes to the film, including the songs, and submit a revised version, according to chairperson Prasoon Joshi.
The film was recently submitted to the CBFC examination committee for certification and underwent a thorough examination in accordance with the board’s guidelines.
Pathaan, the upcoming film starring Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone, has recently been certified by the CBFC examination committee. After viewing the film, the committee directed the producers to make the recommended changes to the film, including the songs, and to submit the revised version prior to theatrical release. Pathaan is set to be released on January 25, 2023.

‘Pathaan,’ directed by Siddharth Anand and starring John Abraham, is set to hit theatres in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu in January 2023.
One of its songs, ‘Besharam Rang,’ sparked outrage due to Deepika Padukone’s orange bikini.
“Pathaan went through the due and thorough examining process as per the CBFC guidelines,” said CBFC chairperson Prasoon Joshi. The committee has directed the filmmakers to make the recommended changes to the film, including the songs, and to submit the revised version prior to its theatrical release.
Pathaan, Shah Rukh Khan’s upcoming film, has already had several setbacks. The use of orange-colored swimwear in the song Besharam Rang, which stars Deepika Padukone and SRK in uber-glamorous and hot avatars, sparked controversy. The film has now been submitted to the CBFC for censorship ahead of its January 25, 2023 release date.
Besharam Rang, Pathaan’s first song, was released on December 12. While fans loved Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone’s chemistry, it got the film in trouble with Madhya Pradesh minister Dr. Narottam Mishra. The minister was enraged by the film’s use of saffron costumes.
