Satish Chandra Kaushik, an actor-director, died today at the age of 66. The news of his death shocked the film industry as well as many of his fans. Mr Kaushik died on the way to the hospital from a heart attack, according to his close friend and actor Anupam Kher.
Mr Kaushik attended a Holi party hosted by Javed Akhtar and his wife-actor Shabana Azmi at their Mumbai home the day before his death. Mr Kaushik took to Instagram on Tuesday to share a series of photos of him celebrating the occasion with his Hindi film industry friends.

Mr Kaushik was photographed with Ali Fazal, Richa Chadha, Mahima Chaudhry, and Javed Akhtar. He was seen smiling as he posed for photos in an orange T-shirt and white pants.
On April 13, 1965, Satish Kaushik was born. He worked as an actor, director, producer, stand-up comedian, and screenwriter. He received his education at the prestigious National School of Drama as well as the Film and Television Institute of India.

Satish died of a heart attack early Thursday morning, according to a new report. The filmmaker-actor passed away at the age of 67.
Anupam Kher, the actor, posted a black-and-white photo of himself and Satish on Twitter early Thursday morning. He wrote in the caption, “”Death is the ultimate truth of this world!” I know. But I never imagined I’d be writing this about my best friend Satish Kaushik while still alive. Such a sudden end to a 45-year friendship!! SATISH, life will never be the same without you! Om Shanti! (emojis for broken hearts).”
